The Yuma Random Acts of Kindness (YRAK) organization seeks to identify members of the Yuma community in need and help ease that need through an act of kindness.
The Random Acts of Kindness was primarily established to assist homeless Veterans with regards to their heath and welfare. Since many gravitate toward the Colorado River we collect and distribute serviceable clothing, tents and other camping gear, shoes/boots and related items. Our operating funds come primarily from two huge patio sales as well as from monetary donations. Our two patio sales last for five days each and take four days to set up. People wishing to donate merchandise can do so by calling 928-271-1846. We can use any serviceable clothing, furniture, toys, and tools. Any contribution can be picked up at the donors residence or place of business. We accept any merchandise that can be sold at a patio sale. Your generosity enables us to help the unfortunate.
PLEASE.... Help US help those that need help! We have two HUGE yard sales a year in the Fall and in the Spring. ALL proceeds go to veterans and those in need in Yuma! Through your help, we have been able to provide 20 tents to the homeless veterans along the Colorado River. We have helped with donations for incredible community projects, and we are now helping a 3yr. old child with medulloblastoma at Phoenix Children's Hospital. We ask you to help us help them!
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and your donations may be tax deductible as allowed by law. Please check with your tax preparer for eligibility.
We meet monthly (beginning the 1st Wednesday in October 2019) at Jimmy K's Diner (11375 South Foothills Blvd. - at the SE corner of South Foothills Blvd. & East Tiffany Lane). Meeting times to be announced.
